This case study describes the implementation of QR tracking of hotel engineering equipment for in a 300+ room city hotel operated under a major chain, where the engineering department manages elevators, HVAC, fire suppression, CCTV, kitchen equipment, pool/sauna infrastructure, and in-room assets. The project replaced fragmented records with a single Chief Engineer Knowledge Base that stores equipment specifications, commissioning dates, suppliers, warranties, and technical documentation. A key requirement was precise location tracking, including hidden installations in shafts, ceiling voids, and technical niches.
The second layer is Repair Dispatch and Maintenance Planning: tickets are created with direct links to assets, assigned to technicians, tracked by status, and recorded as structured history of work performed. The system also maintains asset-linked lists of required spare parts and consumables to improve preparedness for repairs and scheduled service. Deployed on the customer’s server, QR Inventory is used via Android and iOS apps over hotel Wi-Fi and mobile internet, enabling QR scans on-site for instant access to equipment cards and consistent operational traceability.
This case study describes how a fuel retail company deployed QR asset tracking for a gas station network to standardize inventories across ~100 remote sites. Each station manages 2,000+ assets, including technological equipment, office devices, and retail store infrastructure, making manual inventories slow and inconsistent.
The solution was implemented as an on-premise corporate system hosted on the client’s server, supported by Android and iOS mobile apps. Assets were tagged with QR labels generated in the system, and photo evidence was added to improve identification and speed up discrepancy resolution. The workflow is designed for real field conditions, allowing inventories to be performed offline with later synchronization, and providing head office with consolidated, comparable results across all stations.
An airport with 10,000+ assets deployed an on-premise QR Inventory system to improve airport asset tracking, inventory planning, and deadline control.
